Background Story
Chapter 1:
They say long ago at the beginning of time our elders were once beasts of the land. The gods had pity on the beasts of our tribe and presented one of the elders a gift. upon a leaf was bright shiny dust, the gods spoke and said it was a gift unto them. Upon breathing in the dust sent by the gods the first elder of our tribe was transformed in front of all their eyes. A human stood before them and that began the existence of what they call their selves to this day, Lioguar's. Their minds were sharper, their feet moved faster, and their powers were soon to come. Finally the gods spoke to them. This was a gift, to use it and flourish, for they had heard their prayers and have granted their wishes. No longer will they fight empty handed against men with spears and weapons. They would have time to build their society, safely away from the men who call themselves men. The elders thanked the gods and then there was silence. With their new bodies they began their legacy.
As the years passed and their bodies barely aged they began to build. A city upon where they sit on top. Their powers surged through their bodies as they moved the earth with ease. The legend says it took them a thousand years to build the city known as Marguerite, the city made of precious metals from deep down in the earth. Legend tells one of the elders could dream the future. He saw what the city looked like thousands of years later and built it to that standard. Another elder had the power to control the earth, he built the structures and moved the ground and made the gate around the city. One elder had the power to protect, he made a secondary gate with the help of the elder that controlled the earth, he made that gate so it was invisible to the human eye. The last elder, he had the power of fire and he light the city up at the end of that thousand years. they sat in their sanctuary and looked down at a massive city enough to support their future generations of people and they were content.
The Legend says the elders were careful to take all of the dust given to them by the gods and keep i safe so no other creature could become what they did. But one grain of dust was said to be dropped along their journey. As the elders walked their city streets unsure where to go from here an interesting thing occurred. A woman, naked and inside of the city gates. The four elders stood there baffled and confused at what they saw in front of them. This woman was later named Ciel by the four elders, which means from heaven, she was the answer to their prayers. A fruit full woman to make their empire and a women with the power to control the weather. she was made one of the elders to sit along side them. Strong and powerful Ciel gave birth to a race and just as the elders did, and still do, they say she's still sitting up in the sanctuary with the original four. She is known as Mother, and the elders of this race are said to be immortal.
Chapter 2:
A man named Audric, who's name means Old and wise rule, was a prince in the city of Marguerite. His soon to be wife's name was Faye, who's name means fairy. Both blue blooded individuals that came from a long line descending from the first five in the book of legends. Audric and Faye married on a crisp Autumn morning, becoming the new King and Queen of the land. From a warrior to a King and from a young girl to a Queen in a day. Audric was a strong young man with the strength of a thousand men and the power over Fire like the head elder thousands of years ago. Faye was not like 'Mother' but she had the ability to fly and was graced with wings and the power over the wind. Together they made a powerful King and loving Queen. On a bright April morning many years later during a time of peace a baby girl was born. Her name was Fiole Adore Ciel. Adore meaning beloved one for she was the first and only daughter to be born. Ciel, the name of 'Mother', her father being a descendant directly from the elders carried this last name and gave it to her. Soft pink hair and pink eyes, with similar markings on her face that are described in the books of old, for a woman to be born with markings similar to 'Mothers' must be destined to be special.
As she grew she was taught what she must know one day to rule the people. The read the books of old and learned the legends. She developed her powers slowly but surely and was praised as a child. With the unique power to control electricity and the ability to sometimes dream the future she excelled in school. Audric and Faye were proud of their daughter whom they watched play in the palace with cousins, dueling at such a young age. One day while playing Fiole's arm was cut very deeply and she cried out in pain. Her parents kneeled next to her and called for a medic, but before their eyes the wound healed. They smiled at each other, perhaps she was an immortal? Or a healer as well? To have so many abilities in one body was amazing, she truly was an exceptional and special child. In their hearts they hoped their daughter would go on to become a being as strong and beautiful as 'Mother'. Maybe she was destine to become an elder like many before them from the same lineage. Her parents hope for her and her future were high, but even if she was not as special as they hoped she still had a place on the thrown as Queen.
The members of this society honed their skills every day. Those that had wings learned to fly, but it wasn't just flying they learned to do but they learned to sore. Those who had elemental powers used them every day to sharpen them and make their powers one with their bodies. Healers became medics and those who had the power of sight were known as Magaine, which meant those who know the future. Life was peace full and no human had ever stepped foot in the city nor had a human every lay sight on its wonders. All Liogaur's stayed within the city walls unless it was to protect the city from enemies. Life was simple and happy, death was not a thing to mourn but rejoice, the books of old state when a Lioguar dies their soul returns to the gods above in the seven levels of heaven. Fiole was growing into a very fine young woman under the wing of her mother, father, and teachers.
Chapter 3:
As Fiole grew she had more and more responsibilities. Taking classes everyday to better her skills even in fighting. She needed to read book after book and watch her father make decrees and laws. But every once in a while this young naive, innocent, and childish girl would sneak away from her studies and run off to play with some of the children outside of the palace. The people on the street were always happy to see her and always so kind. The children played for hours, that is until a Soldier would come and swoop her up, taking her back to the palace for more studies. 'You have to learn how to rule an empire' her father always told her after she came home from one of her adventures. She would roll her eyes and sit down reading her book. She wanted nothing more than to get out of this palace and just play. yeah yeah, she had to rule an empire some day but that day wasn't today. Even into her teen years she was still doing this disappearing act down to the lower parts of the city. She had made friends there and they were always exploring and playing games. One day while playing hide and go seek they found their friend hiding, she was near the last outer gate. The one that protected them from humans. They all stared at it with wonder, none of them had ever come this far outside of the city before. Between this gate and the gate that protected the city from all outsiders was a small part of the forest which they usually played in but not for long. With a beautiful stream where they got their drinking water and sometimes fish. But they never came towards the outer gate before.
The posts on either side of the entrance of the gate were two Lions, as if they were protecting the city or as a warning to all outsiders. One boy, the biggest troublemaker out of all of them stuck his foot outside the walls and pulled it back in quickly. He looked at the rest of them with a smug look on his face. The other boys now did the same thing, they couldn't be upstaged. The two girls did nothing, too afraid of what might happen. But Fiole stepped forward and stuck her foot outside the gate as well. A loud booming noise came from behind them and they all jumped and screamed. Three solders stood behind them, looking down at them with irritated looks, they dragged all the children away from the gate and back into the city to be punished by their mothers and fathers for being to dangerous. But Fiole looked back and was so curious. 'you could have been killed! Humans cant come through that gate but other beings can! Don't be so foolish', she could remember her fathers words as he shouted them to her. But all she could thing of was the gate, and what was on the other side.
It was a beautiful day and she was all done with her studies. She told her mother she was leaving to visit friends and her mother waved to her as she left. Through the palace and down the long steps into the rest of the city. Her friends were not waiting for her like they would have been, if she told them she was coming. She sneaked through the city and passed the first gate. Now she stood in front of the last gate, no one should ever leave the city it was a law, but she took one foot and poked it out. Then another and before she knew it she was standing on the other side. Looking back, nothing happened, no earthquake or fire from the sky, this side felt just like the other side. Except she was free here. She wasn't a princess or a soon to be queen or follower of 'Mother'. She was just a young girl. She smirked and ran off, deeper into the woods that surrounded their massive empire. She wanted to see what was around, what could she find, who could she find? Her curiosity and thirst for adventure got the best of her. But Fiole was too innocent and too naive to know friend from foe, everyone had a kindness in them in her eyes, a fatal flaw of her kind heart.
Chapter 4:
Fiole walked and walked. She took in the sounds of the birds flapping their wings and chirping around her along with the sound of the rabbits hopping away. Finally she must have walked miles away from the city and yet her curiosity was not quenched. She wanted to see more, hear more, smell more she knew there must be more than just this forest, beyond the trees and shrubs there must be a world like no other. As she took her next step a twig snapped under her foot and she screamed out as something wrapped around her foot and yanked her up into the air. She had gotten trapped in a hunting trap it has seemed. She flailed her arms and tried to get some kind of bearing being upside down. But soon there were men under her. Their faces painted black and their eyes had a frightening glow about them. They had wolf pelts on their back and looked up at her smirking. She was nervous she had never been trained for something like this. One of the men caught her eye as she swung back and forth. A man with bright blue eyes and black painted across his face. His arms had some type of tattoos up and down them and he was not like the others laughing. He watched her curiously. They smelt like wolves, but they walked on two legs and looked like humans. Were Lioguars not the only animals graced by the gods?
The man who seemed most like the leader put up his hand and the others shut up. He had pitch white hair and paint under his eyes and across his nose as well. His eyes struck fear into her heart, they were cold and emotionless. One man jumped up into the tree and took out a knife and cut the rope that held her leg. She screamed as she fell unsure of how she was going to land, trying to protect her head and vital organs as she fell. One wolf caught her and looked at her with a play full like smirk. She kicked and tried to get away, grabbing the wolfs arm and sending a thousand volts of electricity through his body. She fell to the floor and tried to make a run for it but amazingly she wasn't running on the floor anymore, she had been lifted off the ground. The man with white hair and blue eyes had his hand extended towards her and was making it so she was levitating. Her heart sunk, they too had extraordinary powers. They carried her for hours it seemed, the walk was so long and it was already night now. She wondered if her parents were worried, if they were looking for her, or even if they realized she was long gone. Finally they passed some tall wooden stakes int he ground with fire atop them, they walked a little further and everything was dark around them, it wasn't the forest anymore it was the inside of a cave. The man caring her set her on the ground and kept hold of her arm as they walked. What she saw next she would never forget.
The darkness that surrounded them was only light up enough not to bump into walls with fire that hung on the walls of the cave. A bright light and doorway was up ahead and when they got there her eyes widened in shock. There was a city in here, so many tunnels and fire to light up the darkness. The cave smelled of wolves, but they all walked like humans. Fiole was sure of it now, her tribe was not the only ones that had become human. Her heart raced as they took her deep into the city, inside of some cold dank building and threw her in a cell. She screamed at them and they all walked away except the man with the white hair. Soon another man was suddenly by his side as if he had appeared out of no where. The man had bright red eyes and orange hair, he pat his friend on the shoulder and they left together. Leaving her alone in a cell unable to break free, she was a prisoner. A week passed and she was still trapped in that cell, The man with the white hair would bring her food and water every day and leave without a word. She prayed every day in the corner of her cell, she prayed to the gods and to 'Mother'. But her prayers went on deaf ears as another week passed in that hell hole. Her hope was turning dim but she had to stay strong, they would find her soon, she was sure of it!
Chapter 5:
Finally it seemed like an eternity and she couldn't take the silence anymore. As feeding time came and the man with white hair turned around the corner to come and slip the food under the door she ran to it.
"Wait, whats your name? Please let me out of here i just want to go home, please!" She begged.
He slipped the food under the door and she could see him leaving without another word. She screamed at him to come back and begged him to tell her what was going to happen to her. The tears weld up in the corner of her eyes and she slumped down against the door and cried. Her chest felt tight and she cried for what seemed like infinity down in that cell. Later that day she heard more footsteps. Jumping up and watching the door, the man with orange hair now stood in front of it.
"Whats your name girl?" He asked keeping a good distance from the door.
"My name is Fiole, why am i here? Why wont he tell me anything?" She asked nervously.
"Cain? Hehe, he cant talk anymore thanks to your little pride of lions. He stumbled across your city a few years ago, they captured him and cut his tongue out so he couldn't speak. Little did they know he was telepathic but that was their downfall for not asking before they started cutting. What happens to you isn't up to us but our leaders and their still contemplating. I suggest you be a good girl and maybe we'll let you out of this cell sooner or later hehehehe." He chucked and vanished into thin air.
She stood there in shock. That didn't sound like her family, they wouldn't do something so cruel to another creature. They were a peaceful group that was always seeking knowledge, peace, and prosperity. She sat down again and stared at the food, this wasn't happening to her. They would surely kill her, or cut out her tongue to give an eye for an eye. The tears came back now as she covered her face and cried into her palms. She would die here in this dark lonely place and never see the people she loved ever again.
Chapter 6:
The days passed and she tried to be 'good' like the orange haired man had told her. She watched Cain bring her food and water and then, once again, the silence was too much for her. As he slipped the food under the door she jumped up and ran to it.
"Wait, i know you cant talk! that other man told me.....but you can speak with your mind right, i'm sorry for what my family did to you! it wasn't right! please..." She whimpered.
The man had stopped walking, standing a few steps away from her cell. he glanced over his shoulder his piercing blue eyes looked like they held so much anger. He turned around and walked back. Now face to face with her she shrunk back a bit showing fear in her eyes and unsure what he was going to do to her. Her heart pounded against her chest and she gulped.
'Your apology means nothing to me.'
She was a little bit started from those words, they were not said out in the air where anyone could hear them. But inside of her mind his words echoed. He turned his back on her and left. She sat down and smiled to herself, progress was good, any kind of progress was better than him silently giving her food every day. If she did this every day they could get a repor going on and she could befriend him, perhaps, well that was the plan. The only plan she had. Every day he came she tried to speak to him. Usually he never answered but his brother, the man with the orange hair, he would sometimes speak to her. With a coy smile on his face and a rather sarcastic tone most of the time.
The days past as she talked more and more with the man named Able, the man with the red eyes and orange hair. Her conversations with Cain were getting longer and longer but there were still those days that he walked away from her without a word. Her fears that died down now, the two brothers seemed to at least like to talk to her and enjoy her company. Able more than Cain of course. Seeing as Cains only reason to visit her cell was to bring her food and water, but Able would appear and disappear on his own free will. One day Cain came without food. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw him holding a pair of keys in his hands the sound of the keys clanking together caused her heart to speed up now. He unlocked the door and put his hand out to her.
"What? Where are you going to take me?" She asked suspicious.
'I want to show you something.' He said.
She extended her hand slowly and took his hand, for some reason there was no electricity that ran through her hand into his. She didn't kick him and try to run. She had a dream the night before, she saw Cain and herself sitting somewhere beautiful within the city. She trusted him. He took hold of her hand and lead her out of the dungeon like cellar. There were so many tunnels until you got to the main city, that reminded her of Marguerite but darker and the lower class was not as extravagant. There was no palace like her city but these wolves were smart and knew how to hide, she was sure there were more smaller parts of the city down the tunnels. They walked together until she had no idea which way they had went and which tunnel lead back to the city. Finally they came to a small opening, there were no more tunnels here. Just a large patch of grass and a huge tree extending from the ground, it was beautiful.
"This is so pretty....but why did you bring me here?" She asked looking up at him.
'This place reminds me of your city. So lush and beautiful,' out in the open. we live down here with vents and tunnels unable to spend too much time outside. This place is our only place where we can enjoy the outside while remaining inside. he said smiling while looking at the tree.
Chapter 7:
"Why are you hiding under ground? Why not be outside and enjoy the nature and the forest and the fields?" She asked.
'Because of your people. We used too be until i stumbled upon your city. I returned home with my tongue cut out and badly beaten. Then they attacked, they had followed me. There were only a few of them but they had the element of surprise. we had to retreat somewhere a bit safer.' he said a heavy frown on his face.
She looked down at the floor. This just didn't make any sense. She couldn't remember any type of confrontation, they had always been about peace and love. She couldn't believe the father she knew and love would do such horrible things like Cain was saying. She looked at the tree and walked over sitting against the trunk. She buried her face in her hands and started to cry. Cain rolled his eyes and slowly walked next to her and slid down the tree trunk as well, sitting rather close to her.
'Whats wrong?' He asked.
"I just don't understand! My father would never hurt anyone like you say! He's been a peace full king ever since his father before him! What are you going to do with me? Are you going to cut off my tongue and send me back!?" She sobbed.
Cain rolled his eyes again and looked away from her. He looked up at the leaves above extending from the branches. He couldn't stand all this crying and sobbing and sadness. Such feelings were for the weak.
'were not doing to cut out your tongue. We wont kill you. My mother and father are the Alpha and Beta of the pack, I wont let them be so cruel to you as your father was to me. But you will not leave this city. Not until we know how your family and people will react. We cannot afford another surprise attack.' He said with a sigh.
He stood up and extended his hand out to her. She looked up wiping her eyes and took his hand helping herself up. She felt safer now. She believed his words. She pressed her head into his shoulder, she needed comfort. She felt so alone here. She cried into his shoulder and he glanced down at her, his hands in his pockets he let her cry as much as she needed too. They stood there for a while until silence crept up and he escorted her back to her cell.
The next few days Cain returned and opened her cell taking her to the same place. They sat under the tree and she ate her food and they talked. he seemed so much kinder now than when they first met. After his brother found out what he had been doing they had a third person at their little picnics. He was much louder than his brother and much more aggressive, in a good way, rather annoying at times. Their friendships were growing and her fear dwindled away bit by bit as she created these bonds without even knowing it. She looked forward to meal time every day. Able would tell her stories from their own legends while Cain relaxed on a tree branch above. He would tell her things only she could hear, mostly making fun of the way Able told stories, making her laugh. She would sometimes tell them stories from the books she read and she would tell them about her city. Able was always so energetic and hyped up when they talked, he liked to talk with his hands and was so easily excited. While Cain would just smile to himself from time to time, his voice never fluxuated and he always seemed to calm and laid back. For brothers they were so different. She almost forgot that she missed home, this had become one of her adventures, and she was enjoying it. Until one day under the tree Cain said something that made her worry.
'I've seen Lions on the prowl lately. They've finally made it here. Thankfully we've closed off all entrances to the cave and they don't know your here. Do you want to go back home Fiole?' He asked.
Cain and Able both looked at her waiting for an answer. It had been weeks since they had started coming to the tree and months since she had been in the cave. She hadn't thought of it much but she found herself hesitant to answer. Thinking about it hard before she opened her mouth to speak.
"Of course i want to go home.....but i'll miss you both...i doubt i'd be able to ever come back! But i'll make sure they don't attack or anything! My father is a kind man, really he is, and he'll listen to me!" she said smiling.
That night Cain said goodbye to his brother as he left the cave with fiole. A beautiful silver knife in his hand, covered with a string and some beads. He tucked it away in his pants and they walked together in the night. Fiole was scared, afraid of the darkness and of what else might be out there. She held tightly onto Cains arm and they walked swiftly through the night with the light from the moon illuminating their path. She had said her goodbye to Able before leaving and the wolves of the pack were somewhat kind to her as she left, perhaps happy to get rid of her. They walked for what seemed like forever. Finally Fiole felt Cain stop.
'Just ahead, its the gates to the city. I'll watch you and make sure you get there safe. But i wont take you there.' He said.
Fiole gulped and shook her head yes letting go of his arm. She took a few steps forward and turned around quickly. She wrapped her arms around his waist hugging him goodbye. For once Cain wrapped his arms around her as well. She was shocked he did, she had never seen him show affection of any sorts before. She pulled back and looked up at him. Their eyes met for a moment and she stood on her tippie toes and planted a small kiss on his lips. That small kiss was met with his hand behind her head pushing her up a bit and kissing her back. Her eyes fluttered closed and the kiss broke as soon as it had started.
'You need to go Fiole.' He said looking around like he had heard something.
She walked away from him, looking back to where he had been standing. She couldn't see him anymore through the darkness. Touching her lips gingerly she walked through the first gate of the city. Then through the second. soldiers were waiting for her there and looked surprised to see her. As they escorted her through the city she couldn't help but glance back, but she knew he was long gone.
Chapter 8:
Fiole entered her home, the palace she grew up in, the place where so many before her grew up in as well. Her father and mother rushed to her side hugging her and checking her for wounds or bruises. Fiole told her father what happened. She told him about their kindness and about Cain and Able. Her father looked concerned and he ordered a conference. He stood in the plaza, with Fiole and her mother by his side. Soldiers and citizens alike gathered around to hear what their king had to say and welcome the return of their princess.
"I stand here today to tell you all my daughter has returned safely to us. I have spoken to the elders! They have told me this crime against us shall not go un punished! We must act and destroy these creatures that had taken my daughter! They are dangerous and they could attack at any moment. Soldiers prepare for battle and citizens stay inside and guard your children. To keep the peace we must not let them attack first! To preserve our way of life it is the only way. Now go, say goodbye to your husbands and men say goodbye to your families. We shall prepare and strike first. Now go." He commanded.
Everyone scattered running back to their homes. Fiole stood there confused almost shocked. She had told her father about how kind they were and the compassion they showed her. They never harmed her and their plan was never to capture her. They had let her go! She told him about the brothers that had protected her. she never said anything about then wanting to attack or hurt the rest of them or the city. She stormed back to the palace and there she fought with her father. He refused to listen to her. He just kept telling her it was for the good of the people. These wolves were bad and this was not the first time they had committed crimes against them. They had to be demolished. Fiole was in tears by the time her father left her to speak with his general about the war. She couldn't just stay here and do nothing. Just as quickly as she had come home Fiole ran, she snuck by the soldiers and ran as fast as she could. Trying to follow the scent she had felt just the night before. She had to let Cain know what was coming.
Finally after what seemed like hours of running and hours of getting lost and making the wrong turn she saw two stakes peaking from the ground. Fire at the top, she remembered it from before, she was so close she could tell. She ran past the steaks and saw the cave, but was stopped by two large black wolves snarling at her.
"Wait! I need to speak with Cain, its urgent! Your all in danger" She said huffing and puffing.
The wolves looked from her to each other and growled, nodding their heads for her to follow. She followed behind them still catching her breath as they took her once again deeper inside of the cave. They took her through the city and stopped behind a large building. The ground opened up and there was a staircase. One wolf nudged her to go down and then they turned and left to go back to their posts. She walked down the staircase coming to a very long corridor even deeper under ground. She walked to the end where there was a door and it opened for her. She gulped and walked through and found herself standing in a huge wide open space. Two wolves sat across from her with other wolves surrounding them for what seemed like protection. One black and one cream colored they changed right before her eyes into a male and female. Soon a White and orange wolf entered the room and also transformed into the men she knew as Cain and Able. Cain walked to her side and took her closer to the leaders and bowed slightly and she did the same.
"What is it you come here to say child?" The woman asked.
"your all in trouble! My father is going to attack you, he wont listen to me when i tell him the kindness Cain and Able have shown me and your not bad people! I cant let him wipe you out for nothing! its not right!" She said frustrated .
The women looked at her mate and the soldiers couldn't help but look to their leaders for guidance. Even Cain glanced at her out of the corner of her eye for a moment before meeting eyes with Able then back to the Alpha and Beta. There was silence for a moment as the Alpha and Beta spoke in whispers to each other. Finally the silence broken from the male, his deep voice almost felt like it shook the room.
"I believe your words child. Your warning is greatly appreciated and needed. We shall prepare ourselves for war. They will not have the element of surprise so push us any further down. Cain, gather the pack, you are in command. Able, assist your brother as his second hand. Girl you may take refuge in our city if you wish not to go back to your family. Now let us warn the rest of the pack my Beta." He said changing back into a wolf.
The room was empty now except for Cain and his brother. Fiole wrapped her arms around Cain and felt his warm embrace once more, the jealous eyes of Able watching them. She nuzzled her head into his chest and he kissed the top of her head. It felt like they had known each other forever.
'I have to go now Fiole. I must fight to protect my family.....and you..' He said with a soft smile.
"wait! Cain please! you cant fight what if you die! I know what their capable of i don't want to loose you!" She whimpered.
'I know what they are capable of as well, i lived once i can live again.' He said opening his mouth to show the absence of a tongue and the scars.
She scurried back up to the main city and watched the wolves run around. Mothers grabbed their children and kissed their husbands goodbye disappearing into their homes. Men kissed their wives and put on armor, human armor and wolf armor. Weapons were handed out to every man and wolf that could fight. She stood in the mist of everyone running around the only one on her mind was Cain. Able came up behind her and smiled.
"aren't you going to wish me a safe return as well Fiole? Don't you want to see me come back alive as well?" He asked.
She turned around surprised to see him there and smiled weakly. She opened her mouth slightly to speak but her lips were shut by his, a quick kiss and her face turned bright red. He pulled back and smiled looking down at her triumphantly.
"I'll be back too Fiole." He said and ran off.
Chapter 9:
In those split seconds she had lost sight of Cain. Not only did his brother just kiss her but she had no idea where he had went, now the number of men in the cave was dropping as they left. She stood there in silence and had no where to go from here. She walked around the city until a door opened, a young woman with a small little boy invited her inside. These people were so kind, they were so different from the way her father painted the outside world. She found shelter in this small home with a woman who's husband will probably killed and a boy who will loose his father in a city that kidnapped her and with the people of the man she had come to love.
There was a clear field where the wolves had stopped. Seeing sight of the oncoming doom that Fiole had warned them about. Cain at the front of the line with Able by his side. The two watched the massive army come towards them. When the Lioguar transformed in to the beasts they once were they were huge, bigger than the wolves but that didn't matter. In their shining armor with weapons at hand and their powers surging through their body Able patted his brother on the back as the advancing army did not halt.
"Brother, your not the only man that has feelings for Fiole. If we both make it back alive i wont stop you know." He said with a smirk.
'Yes i know Able. Now isn't the time, keep your mind on the task at hand.' He growled.
The army across from them finally stopped, they seemed quite shocked to see the wolves at the other end of the field. How could they know about the attack? Both armies stood facing each other, waiting to see what the other one would do first. The men waited patiently waiting for the command of their leaders. In a seconds time the Lioguars charged and Cain lifted his sword and howled and the wolves did the same. Ten seconds till impact and Cain spoke to Fiole.
'I love you. Never forget that princess'
Fiole sat up from the floor and listened to the silence in the house. She wanted him to speak more, she wanted him to keep talking, that meant he was alive right? But there was only silence now and she found herself in tears once again. What would she loose? The man she had grown to love or the family that she had always loved. She prayed to a god, any god, she needed her prayers to be answered.
"God please let them come back alive! Cain and Able and all the men. Just let it end right now, a storm let a horrible storm hit that stops them from fighting! Please god, this isn't right! were supposed to live in peace with the world......please mother....let him come back alive..." She cried.
